In this episode, SocalMike and I discuss the roller controller that came with the pack in game Slither for the Colecovision. We also discuss Centipede and the classic coleco game Head to Head Football!. More swap meet finds are in this episode as well as some other surprises!
In this episode, Socal and I discuss two more really fun games for the ColecoVision! Oils Well by Sierra Online and Cabbage Patch Adventures in the Park!. For the classic toy segment we discuss the tabletop arcade game Galaxian!
This episode starts off getting derailed a bit as we go through our swap meet finds, but it is interesting to listen to so I have left it in :)
This month Socal and I discuss Smurf Rescue in Gargamel’s Castle and also Gamerster81 the Videogame! We have a special guest on the show this month Mr. Gamester81 himself to discuss his game and also to participate in all the shenaningans Socal and I get into.
Socal and I compete for the high score in both Smurf Rescue and Gamerster81 the Videogame on this episode. And have to put up with Socal’s Amiga Powerstick envy :), plus discuss some recent Colecovision news and pickups.
Trisha is back with another great Cabbage Patch Corner segment!
We also discuss Coleco Electronic Quarterback and how it made Socal feel superior to his friends growing up :).
Craigslist Coleco search and the Quiz Whiz Challenger are also on tap!
In this episode SocalMike and I discuss a little Coleco history, the ColecoVision console with its pack in game Donkey Kong and the Donkey Kong Tabletop VFD game! Tricia (SocalMikes wife) does a segment on the Cabbage Patch Dolls called Cabbbage Patch Corner. Gamerster81 joins in to share his ColecoVision Memory and provides a great reveiw of a new ColecoVision homebrew game called Battle of Hoth.
Interviewed Mr. John Vilk a volunteer on the Archive.org project called The Console Living Room. This is where game roms from the older classic game systems are being archived for posterity. One of the systems is of course the colecovision!. What is neat about this project is you can click on a game rom and find out when it was released, any background information, scanned game manuals when available among other things. You can also play the game in a pop up window using an emulator, now how cool is that!

Recording a podcast at least for me is not all that easy :). Enjoy some of the funny moments as my Co-Host and I try get through the recording session.
SocalMike and I introduce ourselves and go over what the scope of the Podcast will be. We share some coleco memories and end up on a rant about the new IP owner for Coleco and how they have handled the name brand.
The Podcast will be released monthly with potential mini episodes in between on a particular topic and will be shorter than the normal podcast.
The show covers all things Coleco with special emphasis on the Colecovision game system. From Alf to Telstar, if you love Coleco then this is the podcast for you!
The podcast will have two main parts – Colecovision related featrue and a Classic Coleco toy feature.
There will also be some interviews, trivia, classic commercials and other surprises along the way. Each episode will feature the hosts doing a high score contest on the featured Colecovision game on the podcast. The rules are simple, with 1 life how high of a score can you get wth the loser having to edit the podcast :)
We have a website with a forum (so come on in and join up!) – www.colecovisions.com
